Cookie policy

A draft list of cookies and similar storage this magazine uses, plus a preference panel you can change at any time.

How we use cookies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. StoryVault also uses local storage for the color theme. Essential cookies keep the desk signed in, remember stories you opened, and remember the choices you make on this page. Optional cookies for analytics or advertising are not set by this framework until you allow that category and an operator has configured the matching integration.

An analytics provider is configured on this deployment. Its script loads only after you allow analytics, unless an operator has turned that requirement off after review. Advertising is not configured. The AdSense script is not loaded.

The color theme is stored in local storage by the theme library, not as a first-party cookie. Hosting and security logs, if any, are described in the Privacy Policy.

Optional cookies

These run only when the matching integration is configured and, by default, only after you allow that category. Vendor cookies set by Google or another provider are governed by that provider's policy. This table is not a complete vendor inventory.

Change your choices

You can allow or decline optional categories below. Both buttons in each pair look the same. Declining does not remove access to stories. You can return to this page at any time from the footer. Cookie and advertising rules differ by location; this panel is not a claim of legal compliance.

Cookie preferences

Essential cookies stay on so the magazine can sign desk staff in and remember which stories you were reading. Analytics and advertising stay off until you allow them. Allow and decline have the same visual weight. The magazine stays readable either way. This control is a local preference hook, not a certified consent platform, and it does not satisfy every regional requirement on its own.

Always on. Session cookies for the editorial desk, the continue-reading list, and this preference itself. They are not used to personalize ads.

Current choice: required.

Optional measurement, only if an operator later configures a provider. A provider is configured on this deployment. The script loads only after you allow this category.

Current choice: not set.

Optional advertising cookies, only if AdSense is configured after approval and policy review. Advertising is not configured on this deployment. The AdSense script is not loaded.

Current choice: not set.
